Osoyoos Desert Society You are invited to experience the beauty and diversity of this unique desert environment at the Osoyoos Desert Centre, a 67-acre nature interpretive facility located 3 km north of Osoyoos. Enjoy a guided or self-guided tour along the Centre’s 1.5 km boardwalk, explore hands-on displays in the interpretive building, and stroll through the native plant demonstration garden.

Nk’Mip Cultural Centre The state-of-the-art interpretive centre is an architectural marvel sensitively constructed into a hillside. Desert Model Railroad: OPEN YEAR ROUND World Class Miniature Wonderland Experience 4000 sq ft. of family fun with up to 40 computer controlled trains traveling on 2 km (1 1/4 miles) of tracks weaving through mountains and towns. Discover the 16000 + hand-painted little people and animals in scale 1:87 (HO) placed in humorous and funny situations and scenes. You'll be impressed with the devotion to details and the charm and humor of the presentation. Watch with delight, the unique operational car system running through towns, stopping for gas and traffic lights. So much more than just Trains. When driving from downtown Osoyoos, take Hwy 3 towards Vancouver (about 3 km.) Turn left at the SECOND entrance into the Buena Vista Industrial Park onto 115th Street. Look for the yellow warehouse with the big signs out front.

Osoyoos Golf Club: Osoyoos Golf Club brings together ideal desert climate and picturesque golf with two full-length courses boasting the longest season in the Okanagan. The Park Meadows course is a pleasurable “resort” course that is walker friendly amidst a park-like setting, while the Desert Gold course brings a new and unique links-style golf experience. Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre: The Nk’mip Desert Cultural Centre is a 9,000 square-foot interpretive centre that exhibits 2 films, the Inkameep Day School Art Collection, indoor and outdoor interactive exhibits, a 1.5 km walking trail, and reconstructed traditional Okanagan village, and (visitor favourite) interpreter hosted programs which boast a fun filled experience for all ages! The centre is also an architectural marvel, and was built from local, sustainable materials.

Lake Osoyoos Known as the "warmest lake in Canada," Osoyoos Lake is an international body of water that stretches fourteen miles and is a favorite for fishing year round and summer recreation and winter sports.

Anarchist Mountain Lookout - A scenic lookout that takes visitors from 910 feet to 4,045 feet for spectacular views of the Okanagan Valley and part of Washington state.

Haynes Point Provincial Park - Measuring about 60 feet across, this natural spit of land stretches out into the middle of a lake providing views of both Canada and the United States

The Desert Centre: Interpretive education and research facility that hosts one of the largest concentrations of endangered plants and animals

Spotted Lake - When visiting Osoyoos, it's worth pulling over on highway 3 to take a look at the Spotted Lake. There is a sign by the site indicating that a visitor centre and parking facilities are planned. You can't approach the lake because it is a sacred First Nation site on private land, but you can take photos from the highway. The lake is very concentrated with minerals, especially magnesium, calcium and sodium sulphates, and in the summer months when most of the water evaporates, the minerals appear as large spots which harden and form walkways. The colour of the spots vary according to the minerals

Osoyoos and District Museum: Located at 19 Park Place in Osoyoos, the Osoyoos and District Museum and Archives is a museum that is dedicated to preserving the history and stories of the local area. Opening in 1963, the Osoyoos Museum is running strong today, with tours and interactive exhibits to entertain and educate guests. The Osoyoos Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in Okanagan history!
